Kristopher Rikken was born in Virginia in 1973. He repatriated to Estonia in 1993 and divides his time between a home in the Estonian countryside and the capital. He is a former editor at the English-language weekly The Baltic Independent and currently is general partner at Suurentarkki Partnership, a Tallinn-based company offering Estonian-to-English translations.
