LifeChurch Silicon Valley (also known as simply "LifeChurch") is an Foursquare Church located in Silicon Valley, CA. The lead pastor is Doug Buron , a San Jose native. As of April 2007, their congregation has tripled in size since it was renamed LifeChurch in 2005. According to the Hardford Institute for Religious Research, LifeChurch is cateogrized as a mega-church. [1]

History

For more than a year LifeChurch, formerly known as Hope Chapel, has been meeting at the Camden Community Center. The founding members were from a dynamic church in Aptos but were looking for something a little closer to home. A desire to show the love of God with friends and neighbors in the Santa Clara Valley united the small group. A passion for worship energized them. A need to experience true community challenged them. And a sense of adventure encouraged them. Thus began the Saratoga Foursquare Church under pastor Randy Boldt.

Going into 2007 this growing group finds itself following God's leading in the Cambrian area. Lead pastor, Doug Buron was born and raised in the area and a graduate of Camden High School, the former occupants of the Camden Community Center in which they now meet.

Community Outreach

As an member of the local community, LifeChurch has contributed in several programs, including:

  • Beautiful Day: a national network working to show compassion to the local community in creative and innovate ways. [2]
