New aircraft

/Kawasaki KAL-1

Very little info around. Kawasaki's first post-war aircrfaft, <1954. Some numbers on Japanese site but no source. More Museum pics on Commons and a Flight image waiting.

Sent Niagara air museum enquiry 2 March 2021 who responded next day, though it sat in spam box until 22 March. Their comments are in Hobbies/aircraft. No new info but they suggested Argonaut Pirate connection. The first of these, the H.20 was similar but slightly bigger and significantly heavier and more powerful. The Pirate was built in Tonawanda, only about 15 km away and completed initial tests at the Consolidated airfield in Buffalo. [1]; this article refers to it as the Consolidated Argonaut. CF conversation in Hobbies/aircraft.

Did they fly?

/Stinson B

https://archive.org/details/aerodigest2819unse/page/n167/mode/2up

But was this built & flown? There were twin engine conversions from Stinson As but these were not the same as the Stinson B which had a shorter span.

/Albatros L.57

Complicated history - but flown? Prob not.

Engines

/Lorraine 12R Sterna

/Lorraine 18F Sirius

JAWA38 Don't think either flew.
