Why you have chosen this article to evaluate?

I am taking a marketing class this semester. And I think it will be interesting to learn more by this evaluation. Originally, I was typing to search 4Ps concept. However, the WIKI redirects me to marketing mix. Marketing mix is foundational model for business. 4Ps ( Price, Product, Promotion, Place) and 4Cs (customer, communication, cost, convenience) are two important theories under marketing mix.


Evaluate the article

  1. Lead section: It provides a good introduction about the term. It is also very detailed about the history and development. However. I feel it is too detailed, since someone also addressed same concept later.
  2. Content: All of the content is relevant, not updated. Most of content stopped at 2018.
  3. Tone and Balance: Neutral overall.
  4. Organization and. writing quality: This article still need some improvement. For example, the explanation of communication is missing citation. Through the references, some citations does not come from high credit resources.
  5. Image: Only has one image about 4Ps concept, which is related to article topic. And looks fit this page and topic.
  6. Talk page discussion: In the talk page, there is a memo showing that this topic is Start- class and high-importance. Also, this article assigned to Tongxin Liu as Wiki education assignment between Oct 2018 and Dec 2018.
  7. Overall impression: I feel article still need some improvements on the citation, and structure. Too much information in the leading section, which is repeating too much time and overwhelmed.
