Scott Liddell (born January 1970) is an award-winning photographer and author. In 2013, he set up the Dark Edinburgh website [1], publishing a single photograph each day of Edinburgh taken at night. [2]
By 2023, he had published over 3500 photographs, never missing a day, and had gained an international following [3].
A book of his photographs was published in 2022 [4]; this won the Favourite Scottish Nature Photography Book Award for 2022. [5] Liddell held an annual lecture at Edinburgh University [6] and the City Art Centre gallery [7] each year from 2015-2018 as part of the Festival of Museums initiative [8] [9] [10]. His first solo photography exhibition took place at The Four Pegs Gallery in Edinburgh in October 2022. [11]
