Ravindra Kumar (born 10 April 1981; IAS: Ravindra Kumar; Hindi:रवीन्द्र कुमार) is a 2011 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, who is the 1st Indian Administrative Service of India to have climbed Mt. Everest twice.
Ravindra Kumar ( IAS Officer) is an ex- Seafarer, Administrator, Mountaineer and Author. Born on 10th April 1981 in Begusarai District of Bihar, he is only IAS Officer of India to have climbed Mt. Everest twice from both Nepal (South) route in 2013 and China (North) route in 2019. As Seafarer, he served for about a decade on European Tanker Fleets. As an IAS Officer, he served for about 8 years in various capacities in Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh & Government of India including District Magistrate of Farrukhabad District & Private Secretaty to Union Minister of Drinking Water & Sanitation Sushree Uma Bharti Ji. He is also author of motivational books titled " Many Everests" in English and " Everest - Sapno ki udaan : Sifar se Shikhar tak" in Hindi language.
