Sam Beebe works at
Ecotrust, an innovative conservation and development nonprofit in Portland, Oregon.
After earning a BA in mathematics from Colorado College in 1999, Sam returned to his native city of Portland to be a distiller of eau de vies and whiskey at
Clear Creek Distillery. In 2000, Sam created
SkateOregon, an online resource for Oregon public concrete parks. Beebe has been a webmaster for two Oregon governors,
Governor Kitzhaber and
Ted Kulongoski. In 2003, he was enlisted as Salmon Nation Guerrilla Marketer to devise creative outreach and education about wild salmon and the Pacific Northwest. Currently working for Ecotrust's department of communications, Sam's role is to tell the story of Ecotrust and find support.
Sam is a professional computer tutor, and enjoys soccer and skateboarding. Beebe is on the board of
Kahnaway Art & Ecology and
Orlo.
Sam Beebe's photographs have been published by a range of entities such as National Geographic, William J. Clinton Foundation, France 24, Oregon Historical Society, Washington DNR, and the UK Geographical Association. He is an invited artist of
