The International University Theater Festival of Iran is the name of a festival that has been held since 1376 and evaluates university plays. So far, 21 editions of this festival have been held.


Applicants to participate in the festival must be students or recent graduates of one of the higher education centers. This condition is not required for the applicants of lecturers and theses department. To support non-theatrical students, a stage competition section is held separately for these students, but in other sections, the participation of all students, whether theatrical or non-theatrical, is free, and there is no restriction in terms of academic field. It is also a special section for teachers of various performing arts trends. In addition to the different parts of the festival, workshops and lectures are also held in this festival.
