During mid 1990’s, with the convergence of electronic publishing and the Internet, Robert Hu founded DigitalGraphics, anticipated the emerging need for companies to connect business processes via the Internet by developing a number of supply-chain applications for the graphic arts industry to streamline his business. Apple Computer mandated DigitalGraphics’ technologies to be licensed to other print vendors in order to leverage the cost savings in purchasing and procurement of their printed collaterals. Subsequent development and refinement of these web-based business tools for the graphic arts industry eventually resulted in venture capital funding for Collabria in 1997.
