[1]
Until now travel has been an excluded category for SDB
procurement. There are two drivers for SDB procurement in managed travel. The first is policy compliance for
Fortune 500 and
Fortune 1000 -
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies. The second is
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance for Federal agencies and Federal contractors.

OneRez was founded in 1998 as a travel technology firm. In 2003 the Company began researching and developing its current business model of SDB procurement in the hotel and car rental segments of the domestic travel industry. Working with the Federal government, major corporations and various stakeholders of the travel industry, the Company created the OneRez Network to solve the issue of SDB procurement in managed travel.
The OneRez management team includes individuals with significant expertise in Federal contracting and contract administration, travel technology, call center expertise and marketing. The Company was founded by Brian MacKenzie who also founded IEM/Sealand Corporation, a leading environmental engineering firm which was sold to Thermo Electron, Inc. in 1996. [3]
On July 22, 2009 the Company entered into an exclusive long term marketing agreement with
Travelport, Inc. to distribute its SDB content as a new search option on the
Worldspan,
Galileo and
Apollo
computer reservation system (CRS) and other traditional and online booking platforms powered by Travelport, Inc.
