Ethic are a Kenyan Odi Pop music group consisting of Swat (Mtoto wa Eunice), Reckless, Zila and Seska. [1] Formed in mid 2018, the group has received both positive and negative reviews, notably attracting massive following by Kenyan youth. The quartet has gone to receive several awards including been named Best New Artist by Mdundo Awards, [2] [3]Viewers’ Choice of the Year Award category, Best Group Video of the Year and Best Breakthrough Video of the Year at the Pulse Music Video Awards. [4] The group rose to fame after their song 'Lamba Lolo' went viral. [5]

History

Formation (2018)

All members of Ethic knew each other before they made Lamba lolo. [6]Their debut single Lamba Lolo was released on May 2018 and quickly went viral because of the raunchy lyrics. Swat had the most notable verse in the song. In an interview with Citizen TV, reporter Willis Raburu singled out Swat citing numerous fans request. Swat was asked to perform a snippet of is verse. His performance would be disrupted by fans every time he got the mic. [7]
