My closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Essjay 4 wasn't a "speedy keep". Wikipedia:Articles for deletion states that "Articles listed here are debated for up to five days"; given the length of time the AFD discussion had run, and the overwhelming consensus in favor of keeping the article, my closure was proper at the time it was effectuated. I thank you greatly for your quick 3RR intervention on User:Gon4z, unfortunately i would be breaking the 3RR policy if i reverted the Albanian Land Forces Command and (now) the Template:Infobox National Military Albania page to their previous versions. If you or another editor could I would be even more grateful. Thanks, MrMacMan Talk 03:10, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi mate I would just like to speak in my defense of what those tow users User:MrMacMan & User:Noclador have said about the Albanian Land Forces Command article they use one source that does not match with any of their figures or information and Yet I have presented over 7 sources proving they are wrong and yet they keep reverting the article also they accuse me of attacking them when I did no such thing you can go and read al of my comments, I would just like to ask that you monitor these two guys and see the vandalism they are causing to that article I have not reverted the article until we can come to a conclusion buy I have edited it so it matches with the source they have given and not with their made up figures also I have added that banner that this article is disputed and needs a clean up since it is not correct and needs to be fixed, it is obvious these two guys are here to vandalize the article because they are some sort of anti Albanians or something and they use anti Albanian racist website to cities their source which even that website does not match with the figures given, I hope you can take some action on this so we can come to a conclusion.
Thanx and have a nice day. Gon4z 01:36, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello again I would like to raise a concern that there are two vandals User:Noclador & User:MrMacMan they have been editing all articles that have to do with the Albanian military non are correct I have been blocked in two occasions for no reason, I have tried talking with them and reasoning with them but they are not listening they even changed the my words that I put in their discussion are to seem like I was attacking them so I would get banned, I would really appreciate if you take some action against these users, they have only provided one source for their edit that is 3 years old and even that does not match with he figures and information they have given, in their source it states that Albania operates 375 tanks and User:Noclador wrote that the tank inventory is only 79 which does not match at all with his source, every time I fix the information so it matches with his source he reverts it, I also have added the PVO banner because me and some other people do not agree with their sources and they keep removing it.
I have cities all of my edits but for some reason they keep changing them with older information and as it ways in the wikipedia dispute article you should give let them have their wary and I am letting them use their source for now but they can at least quote their source correctly and not make number from the top of their heads.
Hi Prodego, I have no idea if or when my situation will ever be resolved. The ANI discussion has been archived. So I guess it's up to you or Ale jrb to decide if I abused VP. Purgatory Fubar Converse or Snafu 23:01, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the update. As per vandalproof policy, if any user of this tool is legitimately blocked for any reason (especially for vandalism or violation of 3RR) and it is reported to a moderator, he/she will no longer be allowed to use VandalProof. User Purgatory Fubar was blocked here [2] and a request to be unblocked was furthermore declined here [3]. User Purgatory Fubar is now being investigated for possible evasion of the block via sockpuppetry [4]. 86.27.59.243 23:02, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Greetings, old friend! Hope all is well with you. Can you help me keep an eye on Ashwood University? The place is far and wide reported to be a diploma mill, handing out degrees for cash without requiring students to, say, go to any classes. Various anons and new accounts seem to pop up all the time to delete the well-sourced critical info, and/or to instead insert the false claim that the institution is "fully accredited" and hands out valid degrees, or the like. I'm on the verge of semi-protecting the article. Cheers! bd2412 T 15:48, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Dear Prodego,
I am trying to use VandalProof. I am getting a message about "corrupt user. please contact a moderator". I was wondering what the problem was? My username was added to the list three months ago. Thank you for your time! LaSaltarella 05:34, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi Prodego, you okayed me for Vandal Proof a couple of weeks ago so I figured I'd run this by you. I tried using Vandal Proof when I first received permission, had some trouble and did not have time to deal with it so I stopped, but now I've been trying again and am still having difficulty.
Unlike other users I have no problem logging in, but the recent changes list updates very infrequently (for example I can refresh it 10 times and it keeps listing the same 50 articles). Also the "rollback" and "rollback vandal 1" buttons (and I assume the other rollback vandal buttons as well) don't seem to do their job--i.e. they don't actual roll back the vandal edits (though I think "rollback vandal 1" does post a warning message on the appropriate user talk page--but that's actually worse given that I could not rv their edit). "Rollback removal 1" seems to work okay.
Any idea what the issue could be here? I have Explorer running in the background (I don't know if that's necessary or if you just need it installed on your machine--normally I edit with Firefox) and I'm running Windows XP. If you want I can post a bug notice, but let me know what you think whenever you get a chance.-- Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 06:40, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Sorry to soak up the glory of a new barnstar with a question for troublshooting VandalProof :-)
I was approved to use vandal proof sometime this morning and I was wondering why I am unable to log in? In the user name box, it says:
CurranH
However, the text is grayed out. My password box is blank. And finally, My privileges box is grayed out, as well, and says:
No privoieges found
Could you take a look at this? I thought that it was possible that for some reason I was not added to the list. Also, is v1.3.6 the most stable, or should I be using an older version?
Thanks, Curran (talk) 13:23, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your offer to assistance with VandalProof, however I evidently wasn't extracting the zip files to folder, which somehow was messing it up. I am, however, receiving error messages, like so:
