Muck

Muck is a roguelike survival game released in June 5th, 2021. It's free-to-play, and it was released on Steam. Like Among Us 3D, Muck quickly gained attraction by many streamers and YouTubers.

Muck started being made because of a YouTube comment by "sjacek" which stated: "Why don't you try and make a multiplayer survival game... or you can't do that?"

Crab Game

Early life (2007+) Information

In 2007, Alan Becker uploaded his legendary video "Animator vs. Animation", which has gained a lot of popularity. Daniel was fascinated and amazed by the 2-minute video, so he decided to try making his own animations with Pivot Animator. After 4-5 minutes of Dani playing around with the program, he set a goal to become the biggest YouTuber on the platform. In collaboration with his brother, they uploaded their first ever video to YouTube in January 2009 called "Num Num Operation". Dani with the username of "Zaruk12" uploaded 3 more animations to YouTube, but the world wasn't ready for them.

Since Dani failed to become the biggest YouTuber with animations, he switched to gaming.

Gaming

Dani and his brother now started making funny RuneScape videos, now going by the name of "runescapeshow1". The videos did terrible, and Dani decided to stop trying.

RuneScape

This is a short story, but we feel like we need to address this.

The year is 2009. The coolest game is RuneScape. Dani spent the entire day mining coal, chopping down trees, etc. The goal was to buy his own girlfriend for 50 gold. The mysterious player Dani was trying to buy went by the name of "xxgamergirl37xx". Dani finally got 50 gold, and went to buy his own girlfriend. Dani gave her the gold, but then she revealed that she was actually a boy, and ran away.

Dani says:

"I know one thing for sure. I'll never forgive you, xxgamergirl37xx. You ruined my reputation, and my future."

Game development Information

The entire story above happened in the era of Flash games.

One day, Dani's friend suggested game development to Dani. Of course Dani still didn't know anything about game development, but his friend explained everything. Dani agreed, and started a new goal.

To become the best game developer ever. Dani ordered a game development book with the name of "Programmering i ActionScript 3.0", read about 5 pages, and then threw the book.

Dani says:

"...then I realized books are for nerds, which I am clearly not."

Now, Dani thinks that this was a terrible idea. He downloaded Macromedia Flash which was not only a widely used program to make animations, but also worked as a game engine. He learned the basics of the game engine, and released his first ever game by the name of "Easiest game in the world" in January 8th, 2010.

"I released my first game, but it looks more like a PowerPoint presentation than a game"

Most people agree with Dani, because the entire gameplay was clicking "start", clicking a green button, and you win. The only feedback Dani got was from coolGuy83 which stated "Your Mom is worse than this game".

13-year-old Dani, devastated by the feedback started learning more about game development, then released his second game titled "Kill the stickman".

The game featured 6 ways to kill the stickman and animations for each way. Dani got more offensive feedback, and released his third game titled "Kill the stickmans", which featured 5 automatically spawning stickmen to shoot with a gun, and was also his first game to have sound.

As you would expect, Dani got more offensive feedback.

By this point, Dani has released 33 games and received 142 comments mocking his mother.

YouTube ban Information

Dani quit game development, and tried to become the biggest YouTuber once again. In November 2012 he uploaded his third first video of Battlefield 3 gameplay with, as Dani states: "absolutely horrible" commentary because of his accent. This attempt was somewhat successful by gaining 50,000+ views, 1,600 subscribers and uploading 127 videos in 6 months. Then, Dani decided to start a new YouTube channel for the 4th time, and he started uploading almost every day and growing rapidly. By 2014, Dani had reached 1.3 million views and 11.2 thousand subscribers.

The ban

One Sunday morning, Dani woke up to thousands of messages asking him where his channel went. To his surprise, Google had deleted his YouTube channel with an unknown reason. Dani got his channel back in 2019, since it was a false ban. After these events, Dani decided to fully quit YouTube.

He says:

"I like to think that if I wasn't banned, I would probably be a pretty big gaming channel right now"

Starting YouTube and game development for the 3rd time Information

For 2 years, Dani started focusing on social life, school, etc.

And then, he started YouTube again.

He now went to music, CS:GO gameplay and edits, and much more. Eventually, Dani started studying computer science and programming at university. After watching many more game development videos, he decided to try game development again. In October 2018, Dani made another YouTube channel, which is now his main channel, and uploaded his first video 1 day later.

"I only created this channel to document the progress of my game, but eventually I wanted to do more."

In February 2019 Dani uploaded a video showing off his progress in 6 months, and only 1 year later, he hit 1 million subscribers.
