Pedro de Aguilar ( Valladolid, 1331/ 1332 - Guadalajara, 1338), was a castilian noble and illegitimate son of king Alfonso XI of Castile and his mistress Eleanor de Guzmán. [1]
He was the lord of Aguilar de Campoo, [1] Liébana and La Pernía [2] and some of the villes of Orduña, Paredes de Nava, Baena, Luque and Zuheros. [3] Between 1335 and 1338, he was the supreme chancellor of Castille. [4] [5] [6]
On father's side, he was the grandchild of king Fernando IV of Castile and queen Constance of Portugal; [7] and on mother's side, he was the grandson of Pedro Núñez of Guzmán and Juana Ponce de León. [8] [9] [10]
