Social Constructionism

According to Burr, Over the last two decades, social sciences students in Britain and North America have materialised a number of approaches which study the human beings as social animals. These approaches were known as ‘critical psychology’, ‘discursive psychology’, ‘discourse analysis’, ‘deconstruction’ and ‘poststructuralism’; these are now referred to as ‘social constructionism’. Social constructionism can be thought of as a theoretical orientation which underpins all of these approaches that present radical and critical alternatives in psychology, social psychology, social sciences and humanities [1] Dr Tahsin Pgcap ( talk) 18:23, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
