Paul Suhler is a computer engineer working in the data storage industry. He is presently employed by KIOXIA America Inc., where he is a principal engineer for SSD standards. He is also the Chair of the IEEE Standards Association Security in Storage Working Group.

His previous employers include Micron Technology, HGST/WDC, Quantum Corporation, Seagate Tape Operations / Certance, Adaptec, and IBM Research. He was the deputy director of the Advanced Computer Architecture Laboratory at the University of Southern California. He was a Regular Army officer and commanded combat engineer companies at Fort Ord, California, and in the Republic of Korea.

He has contributed to many computer interface standards and has written numerous academic technical papers.
