I am originally from
Ireland. I am an
applied mathematician by training and by profession; I work as a
postdoc in
Imperial College London. A lot of thw work I do involves programming in
Matlab, and I found it hilarious when I found out on Wikipedia that there is a place in
Bangladesh called
Matlab. On Wikipedia I am primarily interested in
mathematics articles. I have created a number of articles:
I have also edited other mathematics articles. I think an article on the twin processes of
advection and
diffusion is sorely missing.
I am developing the article on the
Orr-Sommerfeld equation as my research progresses, mindful always of Wikipedia's
no original research policy. I have also contributed a linear stability analysis to the page on the
Rayleigh-Taylor instability, although I am not sure how much information concerning these stability analyses a Wikipedia article should contain.
