I'm an American who has been teaching English as a second language in three nations since 1990, including over ten years in Italy. I am outraged by web sites selling short certificate courses costing hundreds of dollars, that are not only unnecessary but even sold with exaggerated claims that "you can't find a job without" them! There are also want ads published that I suspect are bogus: "Teacher wanted...Certificate required." Let's not allow Wikipedia to be a tool of unscrupulous businesses exploiting young and inexperienced teachers. Omadaf2 07:15, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
