Roberto Estuardo "Rob" Penedo — (born December 16, 1966) — international political consultant and entrepreneur.
Penedo was born on December 16, 1966 in
Guatemala City,
Guatemala in a family of
diplomats and the
military. Roberto is the youngest of five children.
His father Julio Penedo worked at the
U.S. Embassy in
Guatemala
[1] 1959-1982, came from a family with military background; 1948-1951 he graduated from the military academy Allen Academy

Texas,
USA,
graduated with the rank of
Lieutenant.
Mother Elizabeth Penedo also worked at the
U.S. Embassy in

Grandfather from father's side, Clavel Enrique Penedo was a famous
doctor-
gynecologist in
Guatemala in the period 1933-1967. He was [[Director] of the

publications in his field. He died in a car crash in 1967 in Guatemala

Great-grandfather from mother's side, Marco Aurelio Solís
[5] (his real name Valentin Solís), was the
Governor of Chiapas,
Mexico in 1911 during the administration of
Mexican President
Porfirio Diaz.
In 1984 Penedo
graduated from
High school in [[Guatemala]. 1992-1995 received
Master degree of
business administration (
MBA),
Orlando College. 1995-1996 received Hon. Causa Doctor degree of
business administration,

honorary doctorate degrees

[9] awarded him a doctorate degree for supporting growth in
higher education and
assistance to
Guatemalans in their
professional development.
Penedo is a native of
Guatemala and moved to the
United States in May 1985, where years later became a
U.S. citizen. Penedo began his
career as a
political consultant in 1996, since then he has advised
government
leaders, including
presidents, from the following countries:
Mexico,
Guatemala,
El Salvador and
Honduras. He advised the
governors of the United States of
America, members of the
U.S. Congress (
senators and
representatives) and
local authorities in the
United States, including
mayors,
city Council members and members of the
House of Delegates.
Penedo is a member of the
Republican Party, and from 2007 to 2008 held the post of Board member in the
Latin American region to participate in the presidential
election
Senator John McCain. In this role, he advised the leaders of the
campaigns on
strategies how to win the vote among
Hispanics. Penedo has also made monetary
contributions to the
campaign.

In October 2008, during the administration of
President
Alvaro Colom, Penedo was elected to the
Guatemalan Congress for the post of Deputy Secretary of the Council of
immigrants of
Guatemala — CONAMIGUA

Penedo was the first person who served in this position in the history of CONAMIGUA. Penedo was
elected to this position by
majority of votes because of his
experience on
immigration issues. In his time as Deputy Secretary, he advised the
Council of CONAMIGUA on
immigration reform,
human trafficking,
illegal immigration in the
United States and
programs for re-assimilation of
deported
Guatemalans.
In addition to his political career, Penedo has more than ten years advising companies and governments on projects related to oil, natural gas, energy integration and infrastructure. He works with companies and governments in the United States, Ukraine, China and the region of Mesoamerica (including Mexico and Central America). Clients say that their companies has achieved greater success due to political and international areas of business, during which Penedo provided his services to the companies, due to his experience in political and international arena of business. In the summer of 2015 Penedo was falsely accused of theft. In December 2016 all the charges were dropped and the case against him was dismissed. As a result, currently Roberto Penelo advices to reform the broken Judicial system in the United States, which affected, in his opinion, too many innocent people who hasn't committed any crimes and are victims of abuse of power.
