In football (soccer), ticket touting refers to resale of tickets via the black market. Resale of football matches is illegal in some countries, such as the United Kingdom, where it is an offence covered by Section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.
The issue of ticket touting has a particularly high profile in the case of the FIFA World Cup, where FIFA has introduced measures such as named tickets in an attempt to prevent touting.
Ardwick's first match in the Football League took place on 3 September 1892, at home to Bootle. Watched by about 4,000 spectators in poor weather, Ardwick comprehensively beat their opponents. A five goal lead was amassed before half-time, and a further two were added in the second half to give a 7–0 victory. [3]. Hugh Morris was the scorer of the club's first ever league goal. [4]
Eight former Manchester City players have been inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame at the National Football Museum for contributions to English football as players. Peter Doherty and Denis Law were among the 22 inaugural inductees selected on 2002. Peter Schmeichel was inducted in 2003, Colin Bell and Bert Trautmann in 2005, Billy Meredith in 2007, Frank Swift in 2009 and Francis Lee in 2010. Former City players Matt Busby and Don Revie have been inducted for their achievements as managers, and Niall Quinn has been inducted for community work.

Early in Hatton's career his trainer Billy Graham compared him to Julio Cesar Chavez: "He reminds me of Julio Cesar Chavez in some ways; Ricky can pile on the pressure all night long, but he's just as comfortable as a counter-puncher. And like Chavez, his left hook to the body is excellent". [5]
Samaras - 2006 here [2] Sun Jihai 16 between 2002 and 2005 [3]
Early in his career, Goater was marked out as inconsistent by then-Rotherham manager Phil Henson: "He is a wonderfully talented player with bags of ability - but he's frustrating. Sometimes he is awesome, other times poor." [6]
Leather was inspired to try running after seeing a broadcast of the 100m and 200m at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, and became a member of the Birchfield Harriers athletic club. [7] Running was initially a way for her to maintain her fitness for playing hockey. [8]
Leather gained a niche world record in August 1953. In a Great Britain v France meeting at White City, Leather anchored Great Britain "B" in a 3 x 880 yard relay. Leather maintained a lead over Great Britain "A" throughout her leg to bring her team home in a world record 6 minutes 49 seconds. [9] (team-mates N Smalley Portsmouth Atlanta, M Siemon, Selsonia
The following month, shortly after fellow Briton Anne Oliver set a world's best for the mile of 5:08, Leather tackled the distance. She gained the record with 5:02.6, but only held it until November, when Edith Treybal posted a time of 5:00.3. [7]
Leather had a strong cross-country season in 1954. She won the English national championship, and took first place in an England v Scotland international meeting at Perry Barr [10]
Leather held the world record for over eight years, until it was broken by the New Zealander Marise Chamberlain in December 1962. Her 4:41.4 took 3.6 seconds off Leather's mark. [8] Leather's time remained a British record until 1966, when it was surpassed by Anne Smith. [11]
Her 1955 season also included setting new British records for 800m three times. As the season drew to a close she added a British record in the 400m.Smith]]. [12]
At the 1957 AAA Championships, Leather became national champion at both 880 yards and the mile. This double of middle-distance events went unmatched by any woman for 39 years, until Kelly Holmes won the 800m and 1500m in 1996. [13] The same year, Leather also set a world's best at 1500m, in 4 minutes 30 seconds. [14]
She was coached by Dorette Neal, a long-serving secretary of the Midland Counties WAAA. [15]
After Diane's competitive career was over, the Charles family maintained links with the sport. Diane looked after the infant child of long jump world record holder Mary Rand while she was away at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. [16] Her husband Peter later gave financial advice and assistance to Daley Thompson ahead of his first Olympic Games in 1980. [17]

Given that we know every player (except 2 HoF qualified players) is going to have an appearances total >100 (thus 3 digits in length) I quite like the left-aligned total apps format. Because goals totals can vary all over the place, from zero for GKs to 200+ for strikers, the left-alignment doesn't work as well with that column, so maybe that one should be centred. What do you think?

* See appropriate encoding in the Positions tactical evolution chart above.
