RoweBots was restructured in 1997 from Multiprocessor Toolsmiths Inc. which was founded in 1987. RoweBots claim to notoriety is as a result of the advanced software engineering tools and architectural innovation made which lead the industry by many years. These innovations included:

• CopyCat Simulator
• Integration Toolkit – A package to quickly assemble and debug embedded microprocessor systems
• Remedy IDE/ Debugger
• Remedy IDE/Debugger with CASEworks timing analysis
• Unison pthread nanokernel
• CASEworks/RT – A package to graphically design, generate code, simulate and run an embedded system using the Unison OS
• Unison RTOS
