Nona McKenzie
Nona McKenzie was born Nona Linda Guy to Marie and Harold Guy and grew up in Houlton, Maine.
Early Life and Career
Nona is currently not a Senior Operations & BSA Specialist at Acadia Trust, N.A. in Portland, Maine.
She was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top 10 in her high school class. She attended Bauder Fashion College, Miami, FL immediately following graduation. She began her career in the Financial Services industry working from the ground up in the Trust Department of various banks. She eventually became Trust Operations Supervisor and Officer at Key Trust Company, Portland, ME. She married in 1994 and together with husband, James, built their home in Arundel. Her focus shifted from career to raising her daughter, Kaitlyn, who was born in 1999. Once her career was back on track, she obtained the CSOP (Certified Securities Operations Professional) certification, a designation awarded by the Institute of Certified Bankers, an affiliate of the American Bankers Association. She has her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. She is currently pursuing Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification and is enrolled in an A.S. Degree in Accounting program at Husson University. She is a Notary Public in the State of Maine. She plans to pursue other credentials pertinent to her career, such as ATOP (Accredited Trust Operations Professional).
She enjoys travel and is beginning to extend travels to international countries. She "globalized" her kitchen in order to entice her vegetarian daughter to try new foods from countries around the world.
