The activities described cover from 1954 to 2007 during which time the author grew from four years old to fifty seven years young.

About the Author. Robin Armstrong was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1950 and grew up in the village of Ballycarry. With a view across the sea from his bedroom window to Scotland and the ships that sailed back and forth, it was a certainty that he would as an adult leave home and travel. Vivid memories of the local village school, traveling by train to Larne Secondary College and working through an apprenticeship in engineering, were mixed in with contact with motorbikes and the people who used them for both travel and fun. As his children grew, he would relate some of these memories to them in the form of stories. Eventually this book grew out of those verbal accounts. Now his children can visit those times at their leisure.

Perhaps by reading this, a different view of life in Ulster during some trying times, can be had. How one person can move on and not be affected, by what seemed to the rest of the world through the media reporting, as an all encompassing and unavoidable life style.

All the best...Robin..
