Waratah Junior Rugby Union Football Club - South Australia. The Waratah Junior Rugby Union Football Club was formed at a meeting held o the 23rd October 1971. The Club was amalgamated with the Burnside RUFC at the 1992 BRUFC AGM. [1]

The Burnside Norwood News Review, now the Eastern Courier Messenger, [6] reported on the tour stating: [7] reported under the title "Sydney Trip 'great experience'" "Waratahs under-16 team returned from its trip to Newcastle and Sydney with one win out of three against for more experienced sides. Waratahs lost 26-12 to Rockdale. Tries were scored by J Perkins, D Heaney and D Neuman. (sic Newman) Waratahs lost 26-10 to Newcastle Waratahs White after leading 10-0 at helf-time. Scorers were Sever, Neuman (tries) D. Heaney (conversion). Waratahs finished the trip on a winning note by defeating Newcastle Waratahs Red 26-4. Scorers were S. Hayes, D. Neuman, M. Taulelei, D.
