Since 2002 I've been busy with my children, so I haven't had a lot of time to do stuff.
In July 2000 I created the Big Brother Fan Club which later evolved into The TV Clubhouse. Lawsuit threats brought the spotlight onto the site and traffic increased exponentially. Success and high traffic forced me to search for more bandwidth and hosting and in August 2000 I found Jimbo Wales and Bomis. Bomis provided me with hosting and some technical support, and some share of its NBCi advertising. With Bomis' help the TV Clubhouse grew into a very successful online venture. Jimmy, if you're reading this, I never did get a Bomis T-shirt and always wanted one! :-) And one day I want to ask you about those Playboy mansion photos I found on the Bomis server....but that's another story.
By 2005 the pressure to maintain the site was conflicting with my personal life. The site had grown into its own personality and veered away from my original ideals. I began to dislike what I had created. In August of 2005 I sold the site to a group of the moderators and have never looked back. I have only visited there a few times since but always hold the site and its members past and present close to my thoughts and heart.
I now run The Early A-Body Forum dedicated to early Plymouth and Dodge cars. I have a variety of other websites which I have created, but most are hobby sites and none have found success like the TV Clubhouse did. I focus mainly on my contracting business, http://www.manworks.ca
I aspire to re-create the success I enjoyed with Jimmy Wales and the TV Clubhouse, but suspect that my family life and outdated technical expertise are my handicaps with online ventures.
I hope to contribute to Wikipedia in some way and perhaps find a new online home here. I'm not really sure where I'm going but I remember the days with Jimbo and Jason Richey fondly.
