Garden Reach Mudiali High School (H.S.) is one of the most famous school in Garden Reach,(an western suburb of Kolkata). This is Kolkata's one of most old school. Garden Reach Mudiali High School is a Bengali_language Medium school, and contributed a lot towards the enlightenment of the local peoples in Garden Reach. Till today this school is considered as most prestigious school in Garden Reach. Many great teachers have leaded this school to it's present glory. Also many students who completed their school level education in this school, are now making our country proud in many fields.
History
In the year 1856 a school was built in a locality of western Kolkata, named Garden Reach, to educate the local students with English and other subjects. The school was then named as Mudiali M.E. School. The persons behind this great and noble cause were Gobindo Chandra Ghosh, Shib Chandra Ghosh, Tarini Charan Pal & Nabin Chandra Pal.

Garden Reach Mudial School is affiliated with West Bengal Board of Secondary Education & West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
Present Days
Since the foundation it remains as the leading school in this locality. After 4 years of establishment of this school, a library was also established to provide the reading materials to the educated peoples and students of this locality. During this long one and half century this school have prepared and guided numerous students who have made our school proud. Ex-Students of this school are now spread over the different parts of the country and the world and achieved success in different fields. Presently it has two Institution Building and hosts two different sections (Girls' & Boys'). Higher Secondary Division allows Coeducation. In Higher Secondary it offers courses on Science, Arts & Commerce with a huge range of subject combinations. Now in the 21st Century it is still the best school in Garden Reach.
