- Reason: This article is sourced from Gallup polling in 2008/2009 and we have no other data on the importance of religion (as opposed to eg whether or not people are religious or which religions are followed). The article is subject to continual attempts by editors to change figures to show that religion is far more important in whatever countries. These attempts are all the harder to deal with as the the full poll results of our single source are no longer available. It's time to admit that that 2008/2009 polling is no longer a reliable source for an entire article on the current importance of religion.
