No Class Assassins

Biography

No Class Assassins are an American metal band that formed in 2006 in Columbus, Michigan by Dave Kelsey & Aaron Schuman. Originally called A Parable For Destruction the band only played 2 shows as a three piece with close friend Chris Stotler on vocal duties & only recorded 2 songs "A Parable For Destruction" & "Piss Poor Painted Face".

2009 Chris was replaced by another close friend Jay Crimson. By this time the band had decided their name did not suit them well. They wanted something more catchy, that fit who & what they were all about. One night Dave Kelsey watched a movie called Lucky Number Slevin & in that movie Mr. Goodkat ( Bruce Willis) calls themselves "World Class Assassins". Dave misheard & thought he said "High Class Assassins". So the following day he approached the members & asked what they thought. Aaron being sarcastic said "how about No........Class Assassins?". Liking what they all heard, the name stuck. That year,2009 is when No Class Assassins officially became part of the music scene. They have been played on 101.1 FM WRIF countless times, college radio stations, www.coreofdestruction.com (out of New Orleans, LA) and have also had the honor to open up and share the stage with such bands/influences as Misfits, Suicide Silence, Prong, Gwar, Crowbar, All Shall Perish, Carnifex, Every Time I Die, Mushroomhead, Throwdown, Bury Your Dead, Obituary, Eyehategod, Green Jelly, etc...

2010 they won a BATTLE OF THE BANDS & got to perform a set on the Ernie Ball stage at the 2010 VANS' WARPED TOUR alongside such bands as Whitechapel (band), The Casualties, Dillinger Escape Plan, Bring Me The Horizon, Iwrestledabearonce, Andrew W.K. and Emmure

December 2010 the band entered Wall Of Sound Studio to record "The NO CLASS E.P." with B.J. Perry ( The Product), who produced & engineered it. The band felt they needed a "HUGE" sound, so they hired Mike Hasty Walls of Jericho (band) to mix & master the final product. This decision helped the band to develop the sound they were looking for. The E.P. was not finished until April 2011 & was not released till June 2011. Due to work schedules, lack of money & transportation. Jay Crimson sold his car & the band collected scrap metal often as well to help fund the E.P.

Musical Style

The musical style of No Class Assassins can be described as a combination of hardcore, death metal, punk & blues, with a huge groove metal & sludge influence by such bands like Crowbar, Pantera, Skinlab, Killing Culture, Eyehategod, Life Of Agony & so much more.
