Syntaxeis The Second Athenian league of ancient Greece differed from its predecessor, the Delian League, in the form of tributes. Scandal and suspicion was raised by member states of the Delian League when the league's treasury was moved from Delos to Athens by Pericles in 454. Instead of annual tribute, which was mandated, the members of the Second Athenian League made "contributions to the synedrion at Athens when requested.
