Halsall has two sister companies, Loop Initiatives and Pivotal Projects. Loop Initiatives is a management consulting company specializing in sustainability and green business strategy. It is the only Canadian consultancy certified by the Carbon Trust. [2] Pivotal Projects is a project management firm specializing in the development and construction industries.

Halsall is a founding member of the Canada Green Building Council [8] and were among the authoring consultants for the adaptation of the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance green building rating system for Canada. [9]
