There’s also the added awkwardness that River Song doesn’t recognise the reincarnation of one of her other husbands – The Doctor.
We were reminded just how much we loved River Song, who we first met back in series four, in the David Tennant era.
In fact, it was strangly emotional. River made a speech (unknowingly in front of The Doctor) saying: “He is the Doctor, he doesn’t go around falling in love with people.” Among other heartfelt things.
Because, chemistry.
