I've decided to focus on the Hookup Culture article. This article is difficult because there hasn't been a lot of scholarly information published about it. I think the article could discuss more about how millennials have made the teen pregnancy rate go down and more information about the emotional and psychological effects hookup culture has on each gender. because there isn't a lot of scholarly information about the topic, you could use sources such as: CNN, Vanity Fair, Psychology Today, Vogue and the Washington Post. All of these sources have recently published articles regarding the "Hookup Culture".

Hookup Culture Outline:

"There is a shift in gender roles among high school and college students, in which the modern young woman eschews tedious relationships in favor of far more liberated casual hookups" (Psychology Today).

-Psychological effects on women

-Psychological effects on men

-How pregnancy rate has gone down

Because my topic did not have enough scholarly sources, I decided to discuss the hookup culture and how it can be difficult for religious young adults. With this topic I was able to find more credible information that supported my topic. I specifically focused on how the hookup culture in college can be extremely difficult for those young adults who are trying to lead a more spiritual life, but have the effects of the hookup culture that surrounds them daily.

I think it will be interesting to research the psychological effects of hookup culture, but wonder how much scholarly research has occurred on the topic. Are we allowed to use news outlets /magazines as sources? If there isn't enough scholarly research on the specific topic you want to cover, maybe consider switching to a different sub-topic. I am also talking about hookup culture. I thought of talking about adults rather than teenagers, so I think that your idea is awesome to really add to the article. I think that another good point you can add is how to prevent bad consequences of teenage hookups (pregnancy, STDs)! Looks like you know what you want to talk about though, so it looks good to me!
