The box is there because I want to keep my philosophy right up front because I think it's important enough to remember. :) The questions I will ask and suggestions I will make are going to be based around that goal. If you don't see why something applies, please feel free to ask me. If I suggest improvements in an area where you already feel very strong, please don't be offended - I don't really have time to dig heavily into your contributions and so some of my suggestions are general. I do not have a solid and well-organized lesson plan - just observations that may evolve as we go along. And I am not in a hurry. At any point that you feel like going for adminship, go for it. Please do not feel you need to wait to graduate. :) I may not nominate you myself due in large part to my limited time on Wikipedia but I will certainly wish you well. I think you have the right demeanor to be a good admin. Beyond your content work and my appreciation for your consciousness of copyright issues in areas where they are often overlooked, I think you have the right personality for it in your willingness to evolve and grow. -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:18, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
I know that you are already a very strong content contributor. I would encourage you to continue working on content heavily throughout your training, alongside any more "administrative" type tasks you may take on. I would consider content work to include writing articles, copy-editing them, fact-checking them and going through peer-review - both giving and receiving. Of course, our primary purpose here is to prepare good content for our readers. :) Whether we are acting administratively (curating) or creating, that's our mission. Further, in terms of preparing for adminship, it will help you overcome the divide some people feel between "admins" and "content contributors" and it will help you retain empathy and understanding around the challenges content contributors face. -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:18, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Practice resolving disputes as an uninvolved editor is very useful in preparation for admin work, as you need to be able to listen to multiple sides and discern what's going on. I would recommend a gradual increase in activity in this area. If I were you, I would begin with Wikipedia:Third opinion (in fact, I did) or Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard as a good place to find generally smaller disputes. These can be very personal, as the participants may be entrenched, and you will need to exercise some diplomacy and tact. :) If you choose to follow this suggestion, please read through those pages carefully before picking a dispute to engage in. Frankly, I think that the disputes listed at this moment at "3O" may not be good beginner points - if there are more than two people in a discussion, it is not a valid "3O" discussion to begin with, and I think most of those disputes seem to be related. I would also recommend that you start casually reading WP:BLPN and WP:3RRN to see what kinds of things go on there. I will probably eventually recommend you help out a bit at BLPN, but I would want to be sure you are very comfortable with the way things are done first. -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:27, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
It sounds like you're already doing quite well in that area. I'm particularly happy to hear that you're active at the teahouse, and I like that you speak to newcomers like people. :) Please keep that up. -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:27, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

This page has been inactive for sometime. I have been inactive too at Wikipedia for few months. Now I have got time. I have informed Moonriddengirl and asked her to resume this coaching. -- Tito☸ Dutta 12:21, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
My last OTRS application was unsuccessful as well. Looks like I am going to make a Guinness Book record "Wikipedia editor with maximum number of unsuccessful OTRS application". I am unable to understand where I am doing wrong. Their typical answer is "we have better candidates. . ." Plus, will these somehow affect the upcoming RFA? -- Tito☸ Dutta 21:49, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Moonriddengirl, it is surprising that everytime I resume this coaching, some real-life issues come forwards. I have been suffering for fever and facing some difficulties in job (probably going to lose it). I have applied for a couple of jobs, one from a job-search site, and another of a " remote Wikimedia community advocate". Let's see how it goes. A couple of events in Wikipedia recently are making me too tensed (i.e. too much mental pressure) as well. -- Tito☸ Dutta 00:48, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

Moonriddengirl, as you know almost all Wikipedians start their Wiki-life as readers. As you are very much familiar with Wiki policies and guidelines, could you tell me, am I permitted to create a subpage like "/Reading" with some references and details of the Wiki-articles I am reading. Clearly speaking, these may not have any relation with my Wiki-editing, I may never edit those pages, but these will help to track my readings.
If you use
Google Books, you probably know about "My Library" etc. option. Any idea? Regards.--

Hello MRG, in
my RFA, few users have pointed out that I need to do more studies before starting works in
WP:CSD area. That was not an area where I was trying to foucs right now.
I am eager to take some admin coach on it after 19 Jan (even if I fail in this RFA). Possible? Regards. --
