Graduated from National Institute of Fashion Technology as a Fashion Designer in 1998 during which she got into modelling and anchored in Gemini TV for a Children’s Quiz programme. Rajshri won Miss Andhra 1997 Runners Up and a couple of other beauty pageant titles that year. She made her debut portraying the lead role in Hyderabad Blues [2] which was a turning point in her career and later followed by malayalam movies Megasandesam and Bhoopadathil Illatha Oridam [3] [4]
She is born to Mr Ashok Nair (a Retd. Bank officer from State Bank of Hyderabad) and Shyamala Nair (home maker). She completed her schooling from Bhavan's Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya, Sainikpuri, Secunderabad. Graduated from National Institute of Fashion Technology as a fashion designer in 1998. During her time at NIFT she got into modelling and anchored in Gemini tv for a children’s quiz programme.She won the title of Miss.Andhra 1997 Runners up and a couple of pageant titles that year.
During her college days in National Institute of Fashion Technology, Rajshri got her break as ramp show model with choreographer Imran khan. Also she became an official designer for Country Club, Hyderabad where she had designed costumes for beauty paegant's shows Miss.Country Club and for multiple fashion shows in dubai. She also worked in various leading ads Ambica Agarbathi, Saree ads, Suja tea , Rockwell Industries and many other ads for consumer segment.
While Rajshri was in NIFT, Hyderabad she got her offer from Nagesh Kukunoor for her first debut film Hyderabad Blues which turned out to be a very big hit globally. The film won the audience award for the best film in Peachtree International Film Festival in Atlanta and Rhode island.
Her debut in malayalam movies as the main lead was Meghasandesham with director Rajasenan and actors Suresh Gopi and Samyuktha Varma Rajshri's debut in telugu was 9 Nelalu {9 months} with director Kranthi Kumar and actors Vikram_(actor) and Soundarya.
After a brief period,she started back her career in 2011. Resumed with Television serials and then later forayed into movies as a character artist.
The story was based on the life of Varun an NRI who visits India for holidays. The movie narrates his experiences and culture shock after coming to India and his struggle to woo a doctor Ashwini into marriage. Rajshri played Ashwini which is worth her acting and she beautified the role with her simplistic acting skills.
