This is only allowed if additional criteria are met, and it probably does meet it at least for option 1, but you need to find additional reliable sources to complete the assignment. Interviewing people is considered original research on Wikipedia and is not allowed. You can go forward with option 1, or if you want to choose a different article just email me about it.
