Born in Twic East county and raised in Yei, Bul Deng started his filmmaking career in 2021 after co-founding Angel Films211. He produced and directed the first Tv series in South Sudan called Girl's Right which elaborates more about rights of young girls and women in South Sudan and the globe.
He starred as a dectective in a series which also featured a lot of South Sudanese celebrities such as WJ the King, Dynamq, Menimen, MT7, Neetah Baby, Irene Toss, Lil Been, Black Queen, Wokil and Rachel Hakim.
Early Life
Born in Twic East county, Jonglei State,Bul Deng moved with his family to Yei River county, When he was five years old. He started his primary school in Lomuko II primary school in 2003.
He attended Jigomoni primary school where he completed his primary education before joining Yei day secondary School in 2011.
In 2012 he moved to the neighboring country Uganda where he completed his college.
He also attended Christian University of Science and Technology where he was awarded with a honour bachelor degree in Information and communication Technology. ( (ICT).
First movie
Girl's right series is a TV series that elaborate more on issues affecting the rights of girls and women in South Sudan such as child marriage, gender based violence, sexual harassments, girl child education, Right to health, poverty, right to play and right to food.
It was officially luanched on 16th of December 2022 in club celebrity under the theme considering the rights of girls and women in South Sudan, which was attended by the minister of gender child and social welfare Aya Benjamin warile who appreciated the efforts of angel films South Sudan in a fight against the rights of girls and women in South Sudan.
Bul Deng and team from angel films211 meeting with one of the biggest music promoter promoter Roberto about the formation of South Sudan film union that will unifying all the filmmakers in South Sudan and how to expose our film industry to the outer world.
