The 2010 Stan James World Matchplay will be the 17th staging of the PDC darts tournament and will take place from Saturday 17th July to Sunday 25th July. The tournament will be staged at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

Phil Taylor is the defending champion.

Prize Fund

A total prize fund of £400 000 is available for the players and is divided as follows [1]:

  • Winner - £100,000
  • Runner-Up - £50,000
  • Semi-finalists - £25,000
  • Quarter-finalists - £15,000
  • 2nd Round Losers - £7,500
  • 1st Round Losers - £5,000
  • Nine Dart Jackpot - £5,000

Qualfication

The cut off date for qualification was the 30th of June. The top 16 players in the PDC Order of Merit made up the seeds whilst the top 16 players from the Players Championship Order of Merit, who had not already qualified, made up the rest of the field.
