Pauline and Samuel King

1912 marriage announcement of Pauline and Samuel, mentioning her mother Hana K. Evans was a lady in waiting to Liliuokalani.
They were engaged for 7 years.
King was a US Navy midshipman on the USS South Dakota (ACR-9) headed for the Philippines who had to get permission from Rear admiral William Henry Hudson Southerland the military to get married. Southerland received official permission from the US Navy for the marriage to take place.
Only immediate families were present; Helen H. King was her bridesmaid; midshipman F. H. Kelley was best man; her brother Luther A. K. Evans gave her away; short honeymoon, he was shipped out to the Philippines. She joined him later, sailing on the Logan on April 13.
