Dr. Sturgill is an ordained non-denominational minister and has completed two Doctorates, the first one in Divinity [D.D.] was awarded to him in 1999 and his second Doctorate in Metaphysics [Ph. D.] was awarded in 2002.
He has served in both the U.S. Navy 1986-1990 as an Aviation Fire Control Tech (AQ) on the A-6E Intruder. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1992-1996 as a Combat Medic.
He has a lovely wife who specializes in early childhood education. They have six children, 4 boys and two girls, with three in college & the fourth who has graduated High School but, He decided to take a one year sabbatical prior to engaging in his studies in Veterinarian Medicine, & the two youngest that are finishing their secondary education.
Doctor Sturgill currently resides in Florida. He has been considering writing his second book. As well as taking on his third doctorate in British Naval history from the 17th - 19th Century.
He is also collecting recipes for a cookbook featuring recipes related to Dr. Hannibal Lecter from print and film. As well as recipes which the author believes would have enticed the Good Doctor to attend a dinner with such recipes on the menu. ''''Bold text'
