Rose Mpembeni is a Tanzanian biostatistician and epidemiologist, currently a senior lecturer and dean of Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) [1]. She has obtained her PhD from MUHAS and was employed by MUHAS in 2015 as a lecturer [2]. Her area of research focus on basic epidemiology study in Tanzania, such as maternal health, women health and sexually transmitted disease and HIV/AIDS.

Career

Rose Mpembeni started her work by studying sexually transmitted disease in Tanzania and then turn to maternal health in Tanzania. She has write extensively on various journals about maternal health in Tanzania, which are cited by many [3]. In 2017, she has collaborated with a Norwegian team to study female death rate during labour in the rural part of Tanzania with funding from the Research Council of Norway [4].
