Hi, I'm Lo209 (Laura) and I'm a lecturer in biomedical sciences at The University of Edinburgh.
My research focuses on defining the roles of androgen receptor signalling in the male reproductive system. Currently I am investigating its role in the pituitary gland.
I have worked with groups of Reproductive Biology undergraduate students at the University of Edinburgh to create new Wikipedia entries for Spermatogonial Stem Cells, Folliculostellate cells and KNDy neurons.
I am also interested in improving the way that biological pathways are depicted as diagrams and have been involved in developing the modified Edinburgh Pathway Notation (mEPN) for use as a dynamic modelling system.
Dynamic modelling of biological pathways. [1]
The role of androgen receptor in the pituitary gland. [2]
A review of the roles of androgens in spermatogenesis. [3]
