Hello! I am a long-time reader and brand-new registered user of Wikipedia. I have created this account solely as a means to contribute to the Wikipedia article about my employer, Willamette University.

In addition to my professional relationship with Willamette University, I am also a double-alumnus of the institution. I was lucky enough to attend Willamette in the late 2000s for my undergraduate education. Since then, I have earned a graduate degree from Willamette's Atkinson Graduate School of Management.

I have consulted the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide for guidance on how to contribute ethically and in alignment with Wikipedia's values of transparency and objectivity. I have deep respect for the volunteer labor that makes Wikipedia work, and I am committed to participating ethically on this platform.

In my contributions to the Willamette University article, I will strive to follow the following principles:

  • I will make my updates as suggestions, not direct edits, so I can rely on the expertise and help of Wikipedia editors;
  • I will always declare my conflict of interest on my suggested changes;
  • I will only suggest factual and non-controversial updates to the article. For example, suggestions that reflect changes to Willamette's campuses made since the page was last updated;
  • I will ensure that any suggested changes are supported with sources.

I am always open to feedback or questions. Please don't hesitate to reach out on my Talk page.
