Leigh Anne Ernst (born May 3, 1980) is a Student Teacher in Richmond, Indiana currently in her senior year at Indiana University East. She plans on teaching Middle or High School history, government, psychology or other social studies area classes.
Biography
Leigh Anne Ernst was born in Warsaw, Indiana on May 3, 1980 to Judith Ann Morrison; daughter of Carolyn and Orace W. Morrison. Her father Gary Duane Loy later married Judith and entered into the Army. Judith and Gary divorced a short time later and both remarried. Judith remarried to David Gene Owens, also enlisted in the U.S. Army and moved with Leigh Anne to [[Alaska] where David Owens officially adopted Leigh Anne as his daughter. After many moves due to relocation, Judith and David moved to Bloomington, Indiana to complete their college education. Judith was then offered a position with a company in Dayton, Ohio so the family moved during the summer between Leigh Anne's sophomore and junior years in high school. After graduating high school in 1998, Leigh Anne applied to and attended Indiana University East. It was during the spring of 1999 and the end of her freshman year when she met her future husband David Ernst, also a student at Indiana University East.
Education
Split high school career between Bloomington High School North in Bloomington, Indiana and Northmont High School in Englewood, Ohio. Leigh Anne graduated and went on to attend Indiana University East in Richmond, Indiana. After taking a break between her freshmen and sophomore years she returned to college and will be receiving her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a focus on social studies, she graduated with honors in May of 2013.
