Contactually is a CRM software and service company based in downtown Washington, DC. Founded in 2011, Contactually is a large provider of streamlined customer relationship software for various industries including Real Estate. Since 2011, it has rapidly expanded the niche of customer relationship tools, and has positioned itself as a simpler, cost-effective alternative to larger CRM tool providers (such as Salesforce). [2]
Contactually converts your contacts to relationships through email. The system identifies when you email a new lead, shows what you already know about the lead, and asks specific questions to learn more: how did you meet, how important is he, what are the next steps. The system then parses your response and automatically pushes all rich data to your CRM.
In early 2011, co-founders Zvi Band, Tony Cappaert, and Jeff Carbonella met through the DC startup community ProudlyMadeInDC. Wanting to simplify CRM for the user, they built an MVP version of the product that summer. Within a few months, they were admitted into 500 Startups and officially incorporated as Contactually, Inc.
The Contactually dashboard displays recommended follow-ups, today’s calendar events, and any upcoming tasks in a single place. This feature allows users to reach out to key contacts, review previous interactions, and note any offline interactions (meetings, calls, etc.).
Buckets are an easier system for contact management that allow users to organize, track, and interact with key relationships. Buckets further provide users the ability to set custom reminder timers for different contact groups, or attach unique integrations and automated programs to those groups.
ScaleMail is a tool that allows users to contact small groups who require more attention. You can include a variety of pre-set or custom mail-merge-style tokens to personalize your email, or manually customize what any single recipient receives.
Programs allow users to set off a customized sequence of actions — from sending template-based follow-ups, to following on social networks, to creating tasks. Users can either automatically run programs for certain buckets, or manually authorize steps from the dashboard before they trigger.
Content libraries allow users to browse pre-configured email templates, buckets, programs, and pipelines. Once something is added, users can edit the email template with custom fields.
Pipelines simply and effectively track the current status of your business relationships. Use pipelines to identify any potential deals and know their stage in the sales process. Quickly visualize sales pipelines, and trace potential deals to the influencers and decision-makers they depend on.
Unlike other CRMs, Contactually doesn’t need to migrate user data. Instead, it connects to your Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP-based email accounts and calendars. Contactually offers built-in integrations with services like MailChimp and Zapier, and has limitless potential for customized integrations.
Contactually’s insights screen uses a visual interface to see the size, health, and composition of your network, and gives companies visibility into your team members' networks.
Contactually allows users to assign contacts and tasks to team members, thereby reducing duplicative effort and helping team members take ownership.
Contactually announced in 2013 a $1 million seed-funding round led by Point Nine Capital and Boston Seed. [3] Following this initial investment, Contactually procured $8 Million in Series A financing in 2015 from investors including Grotech Ventures, Rally Ventures, and Correlation Ventures. [4] Contactually has raised $13.83 million to date.
