Which article are you evaluating?

Why you have chosen this article to evaluate?

I chose this article because I found a lot of interest in the way animals behave and how they are able to survive with the way their fitness was designed to fit its environment. So in this case I chose the article about what fitness is and how it contributes to everyday life in an animal life.

Evaluate the article

The introduction was very helpful to understand first the word of fitness with in itself and how to define it. The way they described how fitness is not only genetic by also to do with phenotypes really helps to explain that it is not just at the depth of the genes in the animals but also to do with the appearance of the animal. I like how it goes into detail about the modes of genetic level and then at the physical level using Darwinian knowledge to help bring it all with such a famous persons work.

Next we can see the transitions into not just explaining fitness at a surface level but instead goes deeper by explaining types of fitness including absolute and relative fitness and also explains a way of calculating the genotypic frequency of each type which really is nice and shows that this isn't just conceptional but also mathematically and able to construct a form of understanding a real life problem if one is to come.

There is a section that allows you to dig deeper into the history of the way fitness was brought about which is really cool. By bringing in all the contributions of all the scientists that helped us to completely understand and not only read a summary but gives links to the other readings to go more in depth in the subject. Not only does it give the history of fitness but also gives links to see as well of different aspects that fall around the word fitness like natural selection and reproductive success helps to take the information to another level and deeper than what you are just reading on that page.

The references are given in correct form but I am use to them being put in alphabetical order so that is the only thing catching my eye that is off about the references but other than that everything seems to be cited as it should and gives credit in the right places. The bibliography is given and nicely set up and really enjoyed how it all was placed together in a nice format and easy to read and understand for a reader.
