I am an inexpert user learning to contribute. Please talk suggestions, corrections, tools to help me improve. Here are pages I'm finding helpful, as a new user:
Trying to foster collaboration between Wikipedia, community civic engagement groups, and government. I'm very involved with the League of Women Voters of California. Please talk if you want to collaborate.
I work as a consultant to nonprofits and small businesses in operations, finance, and communications with a special interest in tech.
I, User:Jennywaggo, was elected 2011-13 President (a volunteer role) of the League of Women Voters of California, a non profit dedicated to encouraging active and informed participation in civic life through education and advocacy in the state of California. I concurrently was appointed to serve as President of the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund. I will not make any edits that would not be beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia.
While my editing is not extensive, I do like to improve access to information about government, politics, elections and civic engagement. I do, from time to time, insert links to League of Women Voters resources.
I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikipedia guidelines. I ask that other editors do not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against this declaration. Jennywaggo (talk) 14:42, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
