Yay! Wikipedia loses another editor.
Due to continued accusations of being a "Vanity editor" I'm no longer on Wikipedia.
The claims began when another user created entries for my comics on Wikipedia, then invited me to update them. Sticking to NPOV, I created full articles for them. While this is was a bad thing, I stuck to NPOV, and survived a VFD for them. Since then, I've only updated those pages when the information was factually wrong.
Another VFD came when another user created an article on me with minimal info. After seeing a note on its discussion page to not VFD it if I was to edit it, I again added info to it, sticking to NPOV. After creating the page, and copy editing it a few times, it was sent to VFD as vanity.
Finally, a note on "Notable Wikipedians" mentioned that I primarily edited my bio page, and my comics. That's if you ignore:
And bits of Trivia throughout the Wikipedia when I see something I can add to it. I've been around for a while, folks.
In Particular, I'd like to give a shout out to the Old San Antonio Road article I created, which has been a hobby-ist's research project for 20 years; and the Comico Comics article which was my favorite comic company in the 80s, which I desperately wanted to work for and watched closely from it's inception to its downfall.
The note was amended, but not to my satisfaction.
Damn right, I'm bitter. You'd be too if your contributions boiled down to "She's had VFDs" and "she edits her own pages." I do not plan to return - all it'll do is start up the Vanity stuff again, and that pisses me off, and you off.
