James Mark Paterson (born 11 March 1994), is a singer-songwriter from Barnet, North-London. He has released 2 singles and one EP.

Paterson was born in Chase Farm Hospital, Enfield on 11 March 1994. He was raised in Barnet, North-London. Paterson's parents Alan and Sarah, are from London; his paternal grandparents are Scottish from Glasgow.

Paterson played French horn in a local orchestra from a young age and learned to play the guitar from attending weekend Rock and Pop weekend jam sessions at East Barnet School. He has played piano since the age of six. He was a member of Chickenshed Theatre from the age of five until eighteen. He participated in many local choirs, bands and musical theater performances while at Finchley Catholic High School. Paterson is a third cousin of English actor Ian McShane known for his role in Lovejoy.

Paterson began playing shows and recording original material in 2010. He made YouTube videos covering bands like All Time Low, Boys Like Girls and You Me at Six as well as original content.
