The Tenjimbashisuji Rokuckōme gas explosion was a major gas explosion event that occurred on April 8, 1970 during the construction of the Tanimachi Line at the Tenjimbashisuji Rokuchōme station on the Osaka Municipal Subway.

In the gas explosion, 79 people were killed and 420 people were injured. 26 buildings around the area of the subway station were destroyed as a result of the explosion, while 336 other buildings suffered moderate damage. Other than the
