KIPR ball is a four playing drinking game similar to the drinking game known as quarters. Instead of a quarter being bounced into a shot glass, a ping pong ball is used. Although this game was recently invented at Purdue University, and is rapidly growing in popularity. The primary goal is of the game is to bounce the ping pong ball into the shot glass.

Rules of the Game

Set Up

The playing field of KIPR is a 2'x 2' square divided into 4 1'x 1' squares. A shot glass is set in the middle of the playing field at the intersection of the four 1 foot squares. Beer should be used to play, but mixed drinks are also allowed. Each player must pour his/her drink into a cup.

Shooting

The game beings by the "shooter" attempting to bounce the ball into the shot glass. If the shot is made, the other players must "drink one" and the "shooter" gets to attempt another shot. The definition of a drink varies from game to game, but a common measurement rule when using beer to play the game is twelve drinks to a beer. This next shot is known as the 3-pointer and if made requires the other players to "drink three". If the previous shot was made the next shot, referred to as the "exponential," is taken and if made requires the other players to "drink nine." After the exponential, each additional shot requires the other players to drink a full beer until the shooter misses. If the shot is missed, the shooter becomes the person immediately to the previous shooter's right, loose ball rules now apply. The shooting cycle the repeats as far as needed. The game does not end until someone "dragons." Dragoning is defined as projectile vomitting into a trashcan while flapping one's arms up and down yelling "I'm a Dragon!!" In official games, the dragon must projectile vomit for the game to be complete.

Loose Ball Rules

When a "shooter" misses a shot, loose ball rules are in effect until the next shooter grabs the ball or the ball exits the playing field. When ball is loose on the table, the other players try to slap the ball off of the table through the other player's playing fields. If the ball exits the table before the current shooter can grab the ball, the person whose territory the ball exits must "drink one."
